Coronavirus Covid-19

Coronavirus Covid-19 Update (5pm  23rd June 2020)

In line with Government requirements Riverside Camping has been closed since 22nd March 2020. We would like to thank our camping community for their continued support & kindness through this difficult time.

Following the Welsh Government update on 19th June we can now clarify what Phase 1 of reopening may look like. The proposed Government opening date of 13th July for Welsh campsites is of course dependant on the Local R Rate.

Please note that as a devolved nation the Welsh Government updates & relaxing of the rules are not the same as the English ones & therefore we will be following any updates issued by the Welsh Government only.

As defined by the Welsh Government Tourist department we are able to accept bookings for Any SELF CONTAINED units ie Glamping Cabans ,”Modern touring caravans & motorhomes with their own on board kitchens & bathrooms that no other guests use.”

“Shared facilities must remain closed eg  shower blocks, playareas, laundry”

As per current Welsh Government guidelines The Mill Bistro must  also remain closed.

Sadly these Government guidelines do not include tents or small campervans even with portaloos/showers in this phase of opening. We very much look forward to the time when we can welcome you back & will update you as we have further updates. In the meantime due to the uncertainty of reopening in full capacity, we are not accepting new tent bookings.

Reopening on 13th July is dependant on the next Welsh Government update on 9th July when the local R Rate will be reviewed. We will then proceed with Phase 1 of reopening only when we have the go ahead that it is safe to do so & we have completed any health & safety protocols that are required. Your safety , our staff & family’s safety is priority as is the safety of our local area

We will still be monitoring the situation on a daily basis & will update here as necessary & following Welsh Government, Public Health Wales, NHS Wales  & Cyngor Gwynedd- Gwynedd Council advice.

Please do not hesitate to contact us in the first instance regarding any bookings next for July. We are now prioritising this, & then following Welsh Government guidelines looking at bookings  day by day & month by month in order.

Please feel free to email with any questions although we do not have the answers in full about reopening.

Please contact us by email to whilst we are having to work at home we will not be able to answer any phone calls.

During this time we kindly ask you do not visit our site to look round or use the playarea. We cannot welcome anyone on site until 13th july at the earliest.

We thankyou you all for your patience, support & kindness during this tricky time for us as a family business .

Stay safe & we are looking forwards to seeing you all as soon as possible.

Catherine, Adam, Alex & Thea Hummel
