Coronavirus Covid-19 Update (18th Nov 2021)
We are now closed for Winter until 14th March 2022 – below details the measures we had in place duing the year In line with Welsh Government Covid laws. We ran at a reduced occupancy for the whole 2021 season & maintained all social distancing & mask wearing rules to keep our customers, staff & family safe
We would like to thank our loyal camping & local community for supporting us throughout a very tricky 2020 & 2021. Your kindness & support has been incredible & we value it very much. We hope to be back up & running at normal capacity for 2022
Below is the timeline of our phased opening in 2021 to highlight the measures that were taken to help keep our camping community, local community, staff & family safe :-
In line with Government requirements Riverside Camping closed on 22nd March 2020 & reopened on 13th July 2020 & then closed again 20th October 2020 & reopened on 27th March 2021
We are “Good To Go” for each phase as accredited by The Welsh Tourist Board having met all the Covid-19 legal requirements to reopen phase 1 , 2 & 3 safely. The “Good to Go” scheme shows that as a business we have clear processes in place and are following industry and Government COVID-19 guidance. It confirms that we are adhering to Government and public health guidance, have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment.
Please note that as a devolved nation the Welsh Government updates & relaxing of the rules are not the same as the English ones & therefore we will be following any updates issued by the Welsh Government only.
Phase 1 from Saturday 27th March
As defined by the Welsh Government Tourist department we are able to accept bookings for Any SELF CONTAINED units ie Glamping Cabans ,Modern touring caravans & motorhomes with their own on board kitchens & bathrooms that no other guests use.” from Welsh residents only
“Shared facilities must remain closed eg shower blocks dishwash, laundry”
The Mill Bistro is also closed.
Phase 2 from Monday 12th April
We are able to accept bookings from anyone within the UK who are completely self contained as shared facilities must remain closed. This includes Glamping cabans, modern touring caravans & motorhomes.
Phase 3 from Monday 17th May ( & Mill Bistro reopening on Weds 19th May for bookings only)
Our shared facilities will reopen with a greatly reduced occupancy on a 2 in 2 out system for toilets & 1 in 1 out system for showers (1 can be a family bubble)o there may be queues at times. We can accept bookings for all units but numbers on site will be reduced.
During each phase, your safety , our staff & family’s safety is priority as is the safety of our local area
We will still be monitoring the situation on a daily basis & will update here as necessary & following Welsh Government, Public Health Wales, NHS Wales & Cyngor Gwynedd- Gwynedd Council advice.
Once we have reached the capacity we feel comfortable with bookings will be closed. Please note, facilities listed in a normal year on our facilities page have of course changed this year. Please email us directly to find out what will be open /available.

Due to Track, Trace & Protect requirements we cannot legally allow anyone on site without a booking, to take a walk or use the playarea including local visitors. All bookings will be emailed & are required to read, understand & agree the new Covid-19 related rules before arrival onto site.
