Coronavirus Covid-19 Update (12noon 16th November 2021)
We can take bookings for self contained units from within Wales for holidays starting 27th March. Sorry we cannot accept bookings from England until 12th April at the earliest.
Welsh Government update 1st April indicates that shared facilities of showers/loos/dishwash cannot reopen until 17th May at the earliest so please do not book before then if you require these facilities
Firstly we would like to thank our loyal camping & local community for supporting us throughout a very tricky 2020! Your kindness & support has been incredible & we value it very much.
As we do not know what the year ahead looks like, we are currently taking a limited number of bookings for 2021. If we are only able to open in a reduced capacity, priority will be given to those bookings which we have transferred from 2020-2021 then to new bookings made in date order. Please note we are already fully booked for some key dates in 2021.
Our self contained log cabans are the ideal safe get away so bookings are open fully for these & they are already selling quickly- please email for details. Coming soon in 2021 – 2 luxury safari tents- the perfect self contained get away!
Below is the timeline of our phased opening in 2020 to highlight the measures that were taken to help keep our camping community, local community, staff & family safe :-
In line with Government requirements Riverside Camping closed on 22nd March 2020 & reopened on 13th July 2020 for Phase 1 to self contained units & Cabans.
We are “Good To Go” for each phase as accredited by The Welsh Tourist Board having met all the Covid-19 legal requirements to reopen phase 1 , 2 & 3 safely. The “Good to Go” scheme shows that as a business we have clear processes in place and are following industry and Government COVID-19 guidance. It confirms that we are adhering to Government and public health guidance, have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment.
Please note that as a devolved nation the Welsh Government updates & relaxing of the rules are not the same as the English ones & therefore we will be following any updates issued by the Welsh Government only.
Phase 1 from Monday 13th July
As defined by the Welsh Government Tourist department we are able to accept bookings for Any SELF CONTAINED units ie Glamping Cabans ,Modern touring caravans & motorhomes with their own on board kitchens & bathrooms that no other guests use.”
“Shared facilities must remain closed eg shower blocks, playareas, laundry”
The Mill Bistro is also closed.
Playarea reopens on Monday 20th July
Phase 2 from Saturday 25th July
All facilities will reopen EXCEPT our shared shower & toilet blocks.
Sadly our shared facilities do not meet Welsh Government regulations & must remain closed until Social distancing rules are significantly reduced or lifted. The next Welsh Government review is on 31st July when we will review the situation
We are able to accept bookings from 25th for any self contained unit :- Glamping cabans, caravans, motorhomes, campervans, tents, (portaloo/portashower use will have strict guidelines)
The Mill Bisto reopens Wed 5th Aug 8.30am
Phase 3 from Saturday 1st August
Our shared facilities will reopen with a greatly reduced occupancy on a 2 in 2 out system for toilets & 1 in 1 out system for showers (1 can be a family bubble)o there may be queues at times. We can accept bookings for all units but numbers on site will be reduced.
During each phase, your safety , our staff & family’s safety is priority as is the safety of our local area
We will still be monitoring the situation on a daily basis & will update here as necessary & following Welsh Government, Public Health Wales, NHS Wales & Cyngor Gwynedd- Gwynedd Council advice.
Once we have reached the capacity we feel comfortable with bookings will be closed. Please note, facilities listed in a normal year on our facilities page have of course changed this year. Please email us directly to find out what will be open /available.
Please contact us by email to firstname.lastname@example.org whilst we are often still working at home we will not be able to answer any phone calls.
Due to Track, Trace & Protect requirements we cannot legally allow anyone on site without a booking, to take a walk or use the playarea including local visitors. All bookings are required to read, understand & agree the new Covid-19 related rules before arrival onto site.
We thankyou you all for your patience, support & kindness during this tricky time for us as a family business .
Stay safe & we are looking forwards to seeing you all as soon as possible.
